What Reviewers are saying:

An astonishingly wide-ranging film. An informed and heartfelt examination of the tug of war between public health and private interests."
- New York Times

"Lively and engaging...Smartly Done"
- Los Angeles Times

Irena Salina's award-winning documentary investigation into what experts label the most important political and environmental issue of the 21st Century - The World Water Crisis.

Salina builds a case against the growing privatization of the world's dwindling fresh water supply with an unflinching focus on politics, pollution, human rights, and the emergence of a domineering world water cartel.

Interviews with scientists and activists intelligently reveal the rapidly building crisis, at both the global and human scale, and the film introduces many of the governmental and corporate culprits behind the water grab, while begging the question "CAN ANYONE REALLY OWN WATER?"

Beyond identifying the problem, FLOW also gives viewers a look at the people and institutions providing practical solutions to the water crisis and those developing new technologies, which are fast becoming blueprints for a successful global and economic turnaround.

I always swim and scuba during the October Bioneers Festival: I swim with the spawning salmon in Broadman Creek and this year snorkled down to a sunken commercial fishing boat off east shore of West Bay. However, the Dec 12-14 Water Festival is during Winter and a wet exposure suit probably will be ultra cool i.e., cold. and develope into a medical cold...nevertheless I could use the Empire
Winter Proceedure and pour hot water into the space between my skin and the neophreme exposure suit which would premit 15 minutes of submergable aquatic endeavor. After such a rationalization, I could attend since an observation of underwater Ecology would be possible. Now I need a justification for the fuel usage to drive 300 miles; how will I offset the carbon footprint? Possibly I could compensat for the Environmental deterioration caused by the van's motor pollution with a purpose as to deliver material items to the northern lower Michigan...?
I hopefully will work on this plan for several weeks.

Please change USA culture so that people do not damage the Environment and destroy Ecological viability.

Twenty Short Poems about Water:

Snow
Ineffable essence
Silently falling
Blankets land
With peace

Rain
A little
Never hurt
Anybody
Don't let it spoil
Your picnic

Clouds
Ships in a Blue Sea
In the Mountains
You can Walk
Right Through

Ice
Is it Chrystal
Or is it liquid?
Ice says one thing
Water, another.

Spring
By every spring
Remains a path
So ancient
Only water remembers

Swamp
We all know
There are secrets
Nobody knows
And places
Nobody goes

Marsh
Dragonflies, Polliwogs
Cattails, Bullfrogs
Red Wings
Trilling, Trilling.

Glacier
Oldest Snows
Slowest Flows
Leaving Lakes
When it goes

River
The way it talks,
Murmuring, Chuckling
It's never quite clear
Just what it's saying

Lake
A place for sun
A space for wind
With waking fish
And flashing fins

Pond
Through the lily pads
A muskrat rows
Trolling
A wake of cattail

Pool
Happy gathering
Sunny, warm day
Voices of children
Splashing at play

Bath
Immerse in steaming,
Foaming pleasure
Feeling stress
Soak from bones

Shower
Rush of water
Over your head
Rinsing all away
Washing, Washing

Drink
Feel the cup
Frosty; Cool
Tip to your lips
Taste of Love

Fog
Clouds
Rising from Earth
Veil the landscape
Revealing mystery

Mist
Pounding waters
Force myriad droplets
Into the air
Nearly invisible
Cool and wet

Storm
Really
Only enormous
Water energy
Coming, Going
Rising, Falling

Flood
Ancient waters
Nourish the land
A good thing
Not a disaster

Blood
When it's quiet
You can hear it
Taking the old
Bringing the new

2008; What is the flood status of the area? I hope you people have not suffered; for example, the violin player that lives on the Grand River with a house full young musicians, did that home drift ?
